About the Journal
Dear All,
Warm greetings from SAADC2023 Laos.
The Sustainable Animal Agriculture for Developing Countries (SAADC) was founded to provide a platform for researchers, agricultural policy makers, livestock producers and students to meet and share knowledge on sustainable animal production for the developing countries. The inaugural SAADC conference was successfully held in Kunming, China in 2007 and this biennial event was subsequently rotated in different countries (Malaysia, China, Thailand and Indonesia) with the 7th SAADC held in Nepal in 2019. Unfortunately, the 8th SAADC was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. On average, SAADC conferences attracted from 200 to 650 participants from multiple continents beyond Asia, including Australia, Africa, America and Europe. A key feature of SAADC is to nurture young researchers from developing countries by providing (i) partial scholarships to support students and young-career scientists from developing countries to attend the conference and (ii) the service of “SAADC in-house editorial team”, consisting of experienced academicians and researchers from different countries, for the young researchers to collaborate and publish their research findings together in reputable journals.
The upcoming four day SAADC2023 consists of scientific presentations by invited plenary speakers as well as original research results, and a technical field trip. In addition, several training workshops relating to current issues on sustainable animal agriculture will be conducted.
You are cordially invited to join us for this much anticipated event in Laos in November 2023.
